Who am I?
Hello. My name is Anthony Justus. I live in Carlsbad, California. I’m a local in Southern California. I lived in Orange County and San Diego County my whole life. I’m a graduate of California State University, Fullerton. My major was business administration and instructional design. I want to create e-learning content that focuses on training employees. I currently work in real estate and property management. I plan to switch careers to instructional design. I’m excited to start a new career!
Irie and Buddy
I have two dogs Irie & Buddy. Irie is the one with the pointy ears and the brown and white fur. Buddy is the one with the floppy ears and white fur. My dogs are my best friends. They enjoy going for long walks on the beaches of Carlsbad.
Physical Fitness
I like to exercise from time to time. Physical fitness has benefits for a person’s psychological and physiological health. I participate in activities such as walking, hiking, swimming, calisthenics, stretching, Yoga, and Tai Chi. Namaste!
Traveling
I enjoy traveling to different places. I love to experience other cultures, explore the world, taste new food, and have lasting memories. This picture of me is in Cancún, México. My next goal is to travel to Europe. Vive la buena vida!
Career
I currently work in real estate. I have been working for Tuscany Estate Properties since 2016. The company specializes in helping clients with leases and apartment rentals. They also help clients with buying and selling houses, condos, and apartment buildings. The goal is to find the perfect home for you and your family!
Finance
When I was a senior at CSUF, one of my last classes was business spreadsheet modeling. I learned how to create statistical models in Excel. I applied these skills to my love of finance. I’m currently working on my own cryptocurrency portfolio that uses active portfolio management. I use trend probability indicators and mean reversion tools that I calculate in Excel spreadsheets to allocate my savings into my portfolio.
Video Games
A hobby that I have always had since I was a kid was video games. I was always fascinated with computers and technology. At my nine-year-old birthday party, I set up a LAN configuration using multiple Xbox gaming consoles that I connected with RJ 45 connectors, twisted-pair ethernet cables, and a hub to play a Halo tournament with my friends from school. My passion for games inspired me to research digital game-based learning and use this instructional strategy for my capstone project in graduate school called Investing Masterclass.
My Goals
My goal is to create e-learning content to train onboarding employees for corporations. Training employees digitally can be extremely cost-effective and convenient. Tons of resources can be saved by training online, and employees can learn at whatever time and place is best for them. I wish to move up beyond instructional design in my career. I want to work in human resources and eventually become a chief learning officer.
